flexercell Collagel® and Thermacol® Kits







Collagen gel solution with rapid gelation at 37 C (see Fig. 1 below).

  • All components in one kit for creating a 3D cell-seeded bioartificial type I collagen gel (see Fig. 2 below).
  • Multiple applications including tissue engineering, migration studies, differentiation, chemotaxis, cell interactions, & matrix interactions.
  • Kit contains atelopeptide and telopetide-containing type I collagen, 5X MEM, fetal bovine serum, 1 M hepes, and 0.1 M NaOH.
  • Available in three sizes: mini, midi*, and maxi*.

Applications of Thermacol®

  • 3D Cell Culture - culture cells in Collagel® to create a 3D cell-seeded type I collagen hydrogel.

  • Mechanical Load - culture cells in 3D then apply mechanical load with the flexercell® Tension or Compression System.

WORK WITH Flexcll tissue train 3D culture  system

A computer-regulated bioreactor that allows users to create 3-dimensional cell-seeded gels and apply uniaxial tensile strains to these gels.

  • Construct tethered, linear, 3-D cell-seeded collagen gels using a trough loader mold device and flexercell® Tissue Train® culture plates with or without cyclic tension
  • Apply a load regimen of uniaxial cyclic strain using a flexercell® Tension System and Arctangle® loading posts
  • Apply user-defined strain regimens to simulate heart rate, walking, running and other dynamic exercise patterns to tissue constructs
  • Build bioartificial tissue samples of skin, tendon, ligament, etc. up to 35 mm in length
  • Observe responses of cells cultured in 3-D matrices with phase contrast, fluorescent, or scanning confocal microscopy
  • Tissue Train® Culture System is compatible with Windows 10.


flexercell Tissue Train® 3D Culture System is a computer-regulated cell stretching bioreactor system that allows users to create 3-dimensional cell-seeded gels and apply uniaxial or equibiaxial tensile strains to these gels. The Tissue Train® 3D Culture System is a uniaxial system that allows researchers to apply user-defined strain regimens to simulate heart rate, walking, running, and other dynamic exercise patterns to tissue constructs. This will enable you to build bioartificial tissue samples of skin, tendon, ligament, etc. up to 35 mm in length.
