Even though NCTE is a fairly new company the experience of its founders with magnetostrictive principles goes back to the year 1988. In this year tests were performed in an automotive power steering application. The results indicated the enormous potential that a unique, non-contact "magnetostrictive" sensor technology can offer: Easy-to-use, reliable and real-time "closed feedback-loop regulation" of mechanical power transfer processes, and this at an extremely competitive cost. Since then many ideas have been converted into potential industrial products.
