Specificity and cross-reactivity
Recognizes the heavy chains on chicken IgY and the light chains common to most chicken immunoglobulins. Does not crossreact with non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. Exhibits minimal crossreactivity to bovine, goat, guinea pig, syrian hamster, equine, human, mouse, rabbit, rat, sheep serum proteins.
Form/Appearance
Supplied as a liquid in 0.01M sodium borate-sodium phosphate, 0.15M sodium chloride, pH 8.5, 15mg/ml BSA (IgG and Protease free), 0.05% sodium azide. Labeled with 6nm Colloidal Gold. OD(520) = 1.0.
Storage and shipping
May be stored at Store productone at +4 degrees Celsius.. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at Store productone at +4 degrees Celsius.. DO NOT FREEZE!. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Gold conjugates are light sensitive.

It is also found in high concentrations in chicken egg yolk.
