Product Name | p53 Transcription Factor Assay Kit |
Description | The tumor suppressor protein p53 plays a crucial role in coordinating cellular responses to genotoxic stress and holds many important clinical implications in the treatment of cancer. Cayman's p53 Transcription Factor Assay is a non-radioactive, sensitive method for detecting specific transcription factor DNA binding activity in nuclear extracts. A specific double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) sequence containing the p53 response element is immobilized onto the wells of a 96-well plate. p53 contained in a nuclear extract, binds specifically to the p53 response element and is detected by addition of a specific primary antibody directed against p53. A secondary antibody conjugated to HRP is added to provide a sensitive colorimetric readout at 450 nm. |
