Description | CD29 Antibody is a Mouse monoclonal antibody for human cds against CD29. The molecular weight of the recognized antigen is 130 kDa. CD29 is the integrin B1 chain which is expressed as a heterodimer non-covalently associated with the integrin alpha subunits 1 to 6 (CD49a to CD49f) and known as very late antigens (VLA). It is also called platelet GPlla. The antigen mediates cellular adhesion. It has a broad cellular reactivity but is not expressed by erythrocytes. In normal peripheral blood CD29 is found on a subset of CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocytes (1). It is slightly reactive with peripheral B-cells (1). The coexpression of CD4 and CD29 allows the identification of the helper/inducer subpopulation of CD4 lymphocytes. |
