This antibody recognizes 50-60Kda cell surface protein which is the human homologue of rat OX-47 antigen. (This moiety is expressed in blood brain barrier endothelium, on normal and neoplastic breast tissue)The antibody recognises the 118kD cell surface glycoprotein CD146, also known as MUC18, Mel-CAM and S-endo. CD146 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, expressed by all endothelial cells and by melanoma cells.
