Endophilin-A2 is an SH3 domain containingprotein that is involved in the clathrin-mediatedendocytosis and recycling of synaptic vesicles (5. Its SH3domain lies at the C-terminus of the protein, and can bindproline-rich sequences on other endocytotic proteins (6). Italso binds the C-terminus of the voltage-gated calciumchannel in a calcium-dependent manner, which serves toenrich the endocytotic machinery at nerve terminals(7).
