Description | | Polyclonal Antibody against DOPA Decarboxylase |
Form | | Affinity Purified Antibody (in10 mM HEPES (pH 7.5), 150 mM NaCl, 100 µg per mL BSA and 50% glycerol). |
Host | | Rabbit |
Species Reactivity | | Rat |
Specificity | | Aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase (AADC; DOPA decarboxylase; DDC) catalyzes the second reaction in the biosynthesis of catecholamines and serotonin. It is also involved in the biosynthesis of trace amines.
The immunogen for this antibody was SDS denatured, recombinant bovine aromatic DDC expressed in E. coli and purified from inclusion bodies.
The antiserum was subsequently purified on an affinity column bound with recombinant bovine DDC. |
Uses | | This antibody is effective in immunoblotting. |
Suggested Working Dilution | | The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition. This antibody is sold for laboratory research use only, not for human or in-vivo use. Covance antibodies may not be resold or modified for resale without prior written approval. - Western blot: 1:1,000*
- Dot blot: 1:1,000
