Description | | Polyclonal Antibody against Human Nestin Tail |
Clone | | Nestin 16 |
Form | | Antiserum |
Host | | Rabbit |
Species Reactivity | | Human, mouse |
Specificity | | Nestin, a class IV intermediate filament protein is expressed during early stages of development in the CNS and in myogenic tissues. Upon differentiation, nestin becomes down regulated and is replaced by other tissue specific intermediate filaments. Antibodies against nestin can be used as a predominant marker to describe stem and neural progenitor cells in the mammalian CNS.
The polyclonal nestin antibody was raised using a KLH conjugated peptide to the human nestin tail. This antibody was tested using Ntera-2 cells and mouse embryonic cells and can be used for Western blotting and Immunofluorescence. In immunofluorescence using Ntera-2 and mouse embryonic cells, very beautiful filaments are detected with little background. |
Uses | | This antibody is effective in immunoblotting and immunoflorescence. |
Suggested Working Dilution | | The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition. This antibody is sold for laboratory research use only, not for human or in-vivo use. Covance antibodies may not be resold or modified for resale without prior written approval. - Western blot: 1:1,000*
- Immunoflouresence: 1:200
