Standard and Extra-thick Filter Paper for Western BlottingThe Thermo Scientific Western Blotting Filter Paper is used during the transfer of proteins from a SDS-PAGE gel to a membrane. Filter paper is a necessary component of the transfer sandwich. We offer the standard thickness filter paper as well as the extra thick. The advantage of using extra-thick filter paper is that only one sheet is needed per side of the transfer sandwich, whereas 2-3 sheets of the standard filter paper are typically used.
