Carboxypeptidase A1, also named CPA1 and CPA, is secreted as a pancreatic peptidase that comes from the precursor form of inactive procarboxypeptidase. CPA1 comprises a signal peptide, a pro region and a mature chain, and can be activated after cleavage of the pro peptide. It has a free C-terminal carboxyl group, with the preference of residues with aromatic or branched aliphatic side chains. CPA1 cleaves the C-terminal amide or ester bond of peptides and involves in zymogen inhibition. Three different forms of human pancreatic procarboxypeptidase A have been isolated. In contrast to procarboxypeptidase B which was always secreted by the pancreas as a monomer, procarboxypeptidase A occurs as a monomer and/or associated to one or two functionally different proteins, such as zymogen E. ·Description Novoprotein Recombinant Human Carboxypeptidase A1/CPA1 produced by mammalian cells expression system.Target protein is expressed with sequence (Ala111-Tyr419) of Human cpa1 (Uniprot #P15085) fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. ·Quality Control Purity: Greater than 90.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel. Endotoxin:Less than 0.1ng/μg (1EU/μg) of Carboxypeptidase A1/CPA1 (Human) ·Formulation Novoprotein Recombinant Human CPA1 was lyophilized at 1mg/ml in 20mM PBS. ·Reconstitution We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution of Novoprotein Recombinant Human CPA1 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100μg/ml, which can then be further diluted to working solutions. ·Storage Lyophilized Recombinant Human CPA1 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Recombinant Human CPA1 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable up to 3 months below -18°C for future use. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles. |
