Description:
Acidic Fibroblast Growth Factor (aFGF), Human, Recombinant, also called Heparin Binding Growth Factor (HBGF)-1 protein. It is purified by reverse-phase HPLC and is supplied lyophilized from PBS.

Application(s): Studies on angiogenesis and mitogenesis of fibroblasts; tyrosine phosphorylation studies; neurite outgrowth studies in PC-12 cells; and receptor binding studies.

Performance and quality testing: Determined to be >95% pure by SDS-PAGE and verified by N-terminal amino acid sequence analysis. Functional performance is verified by a thymidine-incorporation assay into Balb/c 3T3 cells; ED50 <= 5 ng/ml aFGF.
