Preparation : | Produced in Sprague Dawley rats using highly pure (>98%) recombinant murine EGF as the immunizing antigen. This IgG2AK antibody was purified from cell culture by Protein G affinity chromatography. |
Catalog #: | 500-M136 |
Source : | Rats |
Formulation : | A sterile filtered antibody solution was lyophilized from PBS. |
Stability : | The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20oC. Frozen aliquots are stable for at least six weeks at 2-8oC or for at least six months at -20oC. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
Reconstitution: | Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in sterile water to a concentration of 1.0 mg/ml. |
Applications : | |
Neutralization | To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of mEGF (0.1 ng/ml), a concentration of 1.0-1.5 μg/ml of this antibody is required. |
Elisa | In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100μl/well), a concentration of 2.0-4.0 μg/ml of this antibody will detect at least 100 pg/ml of recombinant murine EGF when used with PeproTech's biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-murine EGF (500-P174GBt) as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 1.0-2.0 μg/ml. |
Western Blot | To detect mEGF by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 2.0-4.0 μg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant mEGF is 0.25-0.50 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions and 10.0-15.0 ng/lane under reducing conditions. |
