Arabidopsis thaliana is the first higher plant to be fully sequenced and annotated, and serves as the primary model organism for gene expression research in higher plants. The content on this microarray is derived from the ATH1 v. 3 database of The Institute for Genomic Research (TIGR) and represents 21,500 genes. This microarray will be useful for scientists studying gene activity associated with various plant organ functions, stages of growth, and biotic and abiotic stresses.
