The blank level is manufactured using the same matrix pool as used for the calibrator levels 1-6. It was not fortified with any immunosuppressants.

The given values were determined with participation of Prof. David Holt, Analytical Services International Limited, London (administrators of the international immunosuppressive drug measurement proficiency testing scheme).

Instructions

These Chromsystems whole blood calibrators are designed for calibrating your analysis system according to the recommendations of the FDA. The lyophilised calibrators are based on human whole blood and should be used routinely according the assay procedure being used. They are available as Multilevel Calibrator Set only, with 6 different calibration levels and blank. The calibrators are to be handled in the same manner as a patient specimen.

Reconstitution

Remove the metal seal and rubber stopper from the vial. Add exactly 2.0 ml of double distilled water (possibly HPLC-grade) into the vial. Replace the stopper and allow to sit for 20 to 30 minutes at room temperature. Swirl the vial to dissolve the contents until homogeneity.

Storage conditions

Stored below -18 °C unopened calibration standards are stable until the expiry date which is stated on the vial labels. If the calibrator cannot be analysed within this period, it should be aliquoted and has to be stored frozen below -18 °C (up to 2 months).
