Gene Symbol: BCL2 |
Description: Anti-BCL-2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody |
Background: BCL-2 (B-Cell Lymphoma 2) is the founding member of the Bcl-2 family of apoptosis regulator proteins. There are two isoforms of BCL-2: Isoform 1, also known as 1G5M, and Isoform 2, also known as 1G5O/1GJH. The BCL-2 gene has been implicated in a number of cancers, including melanoma, breast, prostate, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and lung carcinomas, as well as schizophrenia and autoimmunity. It is also thought to be involved in resistance to conventional cancer treatment. |
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide from the internal region of BCL-2, human origin. |
