Description
Sodium Chloride Peptone Broth (Buffered) is intended for the dilutionof samples in the analysis of non-sterile products for microbial contaminants.
The combination of phosphate buffer, sodium chloride and peptoneincreases the viability of sensitive micro-organisms by providing anisotonic environment. This is of particular importance when trying torecover cells that may be stressed or sensitive to osmotic pressure.

Directions
Suspend 14.63g of Sodium Chloride Peptone Broth (Buffered) in 1 litreof water (purified as required). If required, add 1-10ml Tween® 20 or 80per litre of medium. Mix well and distribute into final containers.Sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes.
Appearance
Dehydrated medium: Light straw coloured, free-flowing powder
Prepared medium: Light straw coloured solution
Storage conditions and Shelf Life
Store the dehydrated medium at 10-30°C and use before the expiry dateon the label.
Store prepared media at room temperature.
