Technical Information

Amersham Hyperfilm MP is the recommended multipurpose film of choice for high performance in all applications. In this formulation, we have improved the emulsion in order to provide enhanced performance and clearer background. 
New Hyperfilm MP is also available in a sealed light-tight envelope for maximum protection and ease of use in the life science laboratory.
 
Applications:
32P, 33P, 125I Southern, Northern, and Western blots. 32S, 33P, 35P sequencing. Fluorography of 3H, 14C & 35S.

Single copy gene detection using 32P Southern blot of human genomic DNA, isolated from whole blood, HindIII digest (1, 0.5, 0.25, 0.12, 0.06, 0.03 µg per lane). Detection with n-ras insert probe (1.5 kb) labeled with 32P-dCTP. Autoradiography with Amersham Hyperfilm MP at -70°C with two Amersham Hyperscreen™ Intensifying Screens for 18 h.
