HiScreen columns prepacked with Capto IEX ImpRes chromatography media enables the efficient design of intermediate and polishing steps in robust purification processes.

 

HiScreen columns are part of the process development platform available from GE Healthcare. The columns are prepacked with a range of BioProcess chromatography media (resin) and designed for method optimization and parameter screening. HiScreen columns have small bed volumes (4.7 ml), reducing the cost of sample and buffer consumption. The media used in HiScreen columns are also available in other prepacked formats and as bulk packs, for all scales of work from development and pilot studies to routine production.

 

HiScreen Capto Q ImpRes and HiScreen Capto SP ImpRes are prepacked with the BioProcess chromatography media, Capto Q ImpRes and Capto SP ImpRes, respectively. Capto SP ImpRes and Capto Q ImpRes are strong cation and strong anion exchangers that improve the productivity of intermediate to late purification and polishing of a wide range of biomolecules. Both media are part of an expanded high resolution platform based on the high flow agarose Capto product line. By combining the high flow characteristics of Capto media with a small particle size (average 40 μm beads), Capto SP ImpRes and Capto Q ImpRes deliver good pressure-flow properties as well as impressive resolution. Their ability to run at higher flow rates and higher bed heights also increases flexibility in process design. Capto Q ImpRes and Capto SP ImpRes are designed for intermediate purification and polishing of a wide range of recombinant proteins.
