The antibody 3D2 can be used for immunoassay techniques such as: WB, ELISA, IHC-Fr, IHC-P, IP. The aquaporins are a family of water-selective membrane channels found in animals, plants, and microorganisms. This gene encodes a member of the aquaporin family of intrinsic membrane proteins that function as water-selective channels in the plasma membranes of many cells. The encoded protein is the predominant aquaporin found in brain. AQP4 is the predominant water channel in the brain and has an important role in brain water homeostasis. It is abundant in mammalian brain and is concentrated in astrocytic foot processes at the blood-brain barrier. B |
