Description | Mouse Anti-Human TCL1A polyclonal antibody for WB, ICC. T-cell leukemia/lymphoma protein 1A (UniProt P56279; also known as Oncogene TCL-1, Oncogene TCL1, Protein p14 TCL1, T-cell lymphoma-1) is encoded by the TCL1A (also known as TCL1) gene (Gene ID 8115) in human. TCL1A belongs to the T-cell leukemia/lymphoma 1 (TCL1) family of oncoproteins that enhance cell proliferation and survival by augmenting AKT signal transduction. TCL1A and the related TCL1B play key roles in several B and T cell malignancies. TCL1A does not exhibit enzymatic activity and functions as an AKT activity enhancer via binding to its pleckstrin homology (PH) domain, resulting in enhanced phosphorylation of downstream AKT substrates, such as glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta (GSK3beta). TCL1A is also reported to interact with IkappaB, albeit as a ~100-fold lower affinity than NF-kappaB. |
