In terms of its principle, under acidic condition, Coomassie Brilliant Blue G-250 binds to proteins, so that special blue color is observed. The maximum absorption wavelength is in the region of 595 nm, and color change can be completed within 5 to 10 minutes. The optimal assessment result with best stability is obtained within 20 minutes. Rapid assessment of protein content is realized by colorimetric analysis within several minutes. Compared with other methods, determination of protein concentration by this method is not interfered by chemicals in samples. |
