| Description | RABBIT ANTI SMAD3. This item recognises Mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 3 (SMAD3), a 50kDa transcriptional modulator activated by TGF-beta and activin type 1 receptor kinase, SMAD3 functions in cell proliferation, differentiation and development. Upon stimulation, SMAD3 oligomerizes with SMAD4 and translocates into the nucleus where it binds to DNA and transcription factors. SMAD3 activity induces differentiation of selected neuronal subtypes at the expense of other subtypes. |
