| Description | MOUSE ANTI HEAT SHOCK PROTEIN. This item is specific for a 25 kDa heat shock protein expressed in smooth muscle. It also recognises a 22 kDa fragment. Heat shock proteins are expressed by cells in response to elevated temperatures and function as intra-cellular chaperones for other proteins, they also provide certain housekeeping roles during non-stressful conditions. Their nomenclature is determined by molecular weight. |
