| Description | Rabbit polyclonal antibody to p63 alpha, also known as p73L and CUSP whose expression can be detected in the testis and thymus but is highly expressive in skin squamous cell carcinomas but not in normal skin tissues. It is found in the nucleolus. This protein is extensively required for limb formation from the apical ectodermal ridge and activates transcription of the p21 promoter. It extensively acts as a sequence specific DNA binding transcriptional activator or repressor and plays a role in the regulation of epithelial morphogenesis. |
