| Description | Rabbit polyclonal antibody to ABCB4 is also known as MDR3 antibody, anti-PGY3. The membrane-associated protein encoded ABCB4 is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. May involve transport of phospholipids from liver hepatocytes into bile. Defects in ABCB4 are the cause of progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis type 3. |
