The Tenascin C Antibody (4C8MS) has been validated for the following applications: Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin, Immunohistochemistry-Frozen, Flow (Intracellular), CyTOF-ready. Specificity: NB110-68136 specifically reacts with Domain B on FNIII repeats of Tenascin C. Tenascin C is an extracellular matrix protein that is expressed in various tissues during development, disease or injury. Tenascin C inhibits HIV infection in immune cells by binding to a chemokine coreceptor site on the HIV-1 envelope protein, thereby blocking the virus' entry into the host cells. Tenascin C expression in the stroma of certain tumors is often associated with a poor prognosis. |
