| Description | Purity >98%. Maduramicin is a natural polyether ionophore antibiotic first isolated from the actinomycete Actinomadura rubra . It is cytotoxic against Cryptosporidium spp. and is commonly used in veterinary medicine as an anti-coccidial agent. Maduramicin is also cytotoxic against Plasmodium gametocytes and potentiates the gametocytocidal activity of the pyrazoleamide PA21A050. |
