The G - 6 - P is oxidized by glucose - 6 - phosphate dehydrogenase (G - 6 - PD H) and forms 6 - p hosphogluconic acid (6 - GP), at the same time, reduction re action is occurred to transform NAD+ to NADH. The content of NADH is proportional to the glucose concentration.
