| Description | The drug Nivolumab (Opdivo) is a fully human IgG4 monoclonal antibody that binds specifically to programmed death-1 (PD-1), a negative regulatory receptor expressed by activated T and B lymphocytes. Binding of Nivolumab to the PD-1 receptor blocks its interaction with the ligands, PDL1 and PD-L2, thereby attenuating PD-1-mediated inhibition of the immune response, including the antitumor immune response.
