This PGC-1 alpha antibody is useful for Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry on paraffin embedded sections. In WB, a band is seen at 91 kDa representing PGC-1 alpha. In IHC-P, staining is very strong in the nucleus with some cytoplasmic staining. Prior to immunostaining paraffin tissues, antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended. Use in Immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence reported in scientific literature (PMID 24508229) The observed molecular weight of the protein may vary from the listed predicted molecular weight due to post translational modifications, post translation cleavages, relative charges, and other experimental factors. |
