| Description | The Podoplanin Antibody (8.1.1) from Novus Biologicals is a golden syrian hamster monoclonal antibody to Podoplanin. This antibody reacts with mouse, human (negative). The Podoplanin Antibody (8.1.1) has been validated for the following applications: Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin, Immunohistochemistry-Frozen, Electron Microscopy, CyTOF-ready. Podoplanin is a mucine-type glycoprotein which induces platelet aggregation. Podoplanin has been implicated in cancer cell migration, invasion, metastasis, and malignant progression. Podoplanin antibodies serve as markers of lymphatic endothelium and fibroblastic reticular cells of lymphoid organs, as well as certain lung injuries. The upregulation of podoplanin in tumor cells has been correlated with an increase in metastasis and motility. Recent research has shown that Podoplanin plays a critical role in immune cells, including T cells and dendritic cells. |
