Product Name | Enolase 1, (Alpha) (ENO1) protein |
Description | Enolase, also known as phosphopyruvate dehydratase, is a metalloenzyme responsible for the catalysis of the conversion of 2-phosphoglycerate (2-PG) to phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP), the ninth and penultimate step of glycolysis. There are three subunits of enolase, alpha, beta, and , each encoded by a separate gene that can combine to form five different isoenzymes. Non-neuronal enolase is found ina variety of tissues including the liver, brian, kidney, and spleen. NNE is composed of two alpha enolase subunits. Description: Human brain. Alternative Names: Non-Neuronal Enolase Protein |
