Product Name | Rapamycin |
Description | Purity >99% by HPLC Heavy Metals: Less than 20 ppm . Immunosuppressant and antifungal agent. The mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) is a kinase responsible for mitogen-induced cell proliferation/survival signaling. Its activation in response to mitogens leads to a cell-cycle progression from G1 to S phase. Binds to the FK506 binding protein (KD = 0.2 nM). Inhibits IL-2-induced phosphorylation and activation of p70 S6 kinase. Recently, it was shown that it fed late in life extends lifespan in genetically heterogeneous mice. It improves learning and memory and reduces A-Beta and tau pathology. |
