| Description | GOAT ANTI HUMAN SYNPHILIN 1. This item recognises synphilin-1, a cytoplasmic protein which associates with alpha-synuclein in vivo. Alpha-Synuclein is a major component of lewy bodies in patients with sporadic Parkinson's disease (PD) and mutations of alpha-synuclein are involved in familial forms of PD. Reports suggest that synphilin-1 may play a role in lewy body formation in association with alpha synuclein. |
