Two Channel Vascular Access Button™ for MiceFor tethered or intermittent accessThis implantable button for mice connects two independent fluid channels simply by engaging the mating tether. It is designed for glucose clamping and other applications where simultaneous blood sampling and infusion is required. Access the small PinPorts™, one red and one white, manually using a syringe fitted with a PNP3M injector. The VABM2T/25 tether uses a PS80 spring, which can be connected to a 25ga low-torque dual channel swivel. Alternatively, you can connect one line to a single channel swivel for continuous access and then allow the second line to rotate freely with a PinPort™ for intermittent dosing or sampling, or connect a single-channel VABM1T/25 tether to the white port, leaving the red port closed. Buttons are available with a combination of 22ga and 25ga connectors for 1-to-3Fr and 2Fr catheters, respectively. For example, connect a 2Fr JVC to a 25ga white port and a 1-to-3Fr CAC that to the 22ga red port of the VABM2B/22R25 button. The 14mm subcutaneous disk can be made of either a polyester surgical felt, into which tissues will grow over time, or an inert silicone mesh with holes for tissues to grow through for stability. |
