CELLKINES rhIL-2 originates from the IL-2 gene found in human Jurkat cell line which was cloned into E. coli. This product differs from native IL-2 in two ways. First, it is not glycosylated, and second, the protein differs at two amino acid positions (the first three N-terminal amino acids are absent, and CYS at position 125 is substituted by SER). CELLKINES rhIL-2 with a molecular weight of 15.4 kDa is formulated in 2% fetal bovine serum (heat inactivated) as a stabilizer and sterile filtered.
