Mounting Columns for Standard Cabinets

Corning UMOXS™ cross-connect system is a family of interfaces for interconnecting feeder and distribution cables in the urban and rural outside plant copper-based network. The essential component is the unique, field-mountable, environmentally protected UMOXS cross-connect system connector.

Corning UMOXS mounting columns are metal enclosures with hinged mounting trays. As a component installed in a UMOXS standard cabinet, these mounting columns support the UMOXS retainers, and protect and control distribution of the binder groups.

Mounting columns are equipped with either wire routing rings or a jumper wire spool holder on the top of the column. The first column in any cabinet is always the spool holder type (which is mounted on the left within the cabinet). All subsequent mounting columns should be the wire routing ring type. Jumper retainer rings along the side of each column are provided to control the vertical routing of cross-connect wires.
