Application Notes |
The Vitamin D Release Solutions are designed to work in the same step as the capture of the released 25OH Vitamin D by the assay antibodies. They should not be used in a separate step, prior to the immunoassay. They are compatible with most of the 25OH Vitamin D antibodies, but the functionality of the antibody must nevertheless be verified for each individual case. Suitable for use in CLIA, ELISA, Rapid Tests and RIA. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded. Basic Procedure: 1. Bring all reagents to room temperature and mix (vortex) them prior to use. 2. Determine the ratio of sample to release solution to be tested (e.g., 1:8, 1:4, 1:2). 3. In the presence of the solid-phase coated with the antibody to 25OH Vitamin, mix the appropriate volume of Vitamin D Release Solution with the patient sample. Please note that the Vitamin D Release Solution should not be used in a separate step prior to the Immunoassay.) 4. Repeat Steps 1-2 for all 14 different release solutions. 5. Continue performing the immunoassay according to the assay’s usual protocol. Please note that it is possible to add the conjugate at the same time as the release solution or it can be added as a separate step. |
