| Target | IgG. Based on immunoelectrophoresis, the antibody reacts with the heavy chains on goat IgG but not with thelight chains on most goat immunoglobulins. No antibody was detected against non immunoglobulin serumproteins. Has been tested by ELISA and/or solid phase adsorbed to ensure minimal cross reaction withhuman serum proteins, but antibody may cross react with immunoglobulins from other species. | Storage | Store lyophilized product at 2-8°C. After reconstitution, product is stable for several weeks at 2-8°C as an undiluted liquid. Prepare working dilution only prior to immediate use. For extended storage after reconstitution, add an equal volume of glycerol (ACS or better grade) for a final glycerol concentration of 50% followed by storage at-20°C, with or without aliquotting. Please note that the concentration of protein and buffer salts will decrease to one-half of the original after the addition of glycerol. Alternatively, in the absence of glycerol, the product may be aliquot and stored at-70°C or below. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Expiration date: one year from date of reconstitution. |

| Application Notes | A dilution range of 1:500-1:5,000 is suggested for immunohistochemistry on tissue sections, 1:5,000 -1:100,000 for ELISA and Western blotting with chromogenic substrates and 1:10,000-1:200,000 forWestern blotting with ECL substrates.Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use inits particular application.Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should notnecessarily be excluded.Bovine serum albumin BSA and dry milk may contain IgG which reacts with anti-bovineIgG, anti-goat IgG, anti-horse IgG, and anti-sheep IgG antibodies.Therefore, use of BSAand/or dry milk to block or dilute these antibodies and/or your primary antibody maysignificantly increase background and/or reduce secondary antibody titer.For preblocking,a 4-5% normal serum from the same host species of the labeled secondaryantibody is recommended.Centrifuge before opening to ensure complete recovery of vial contents. |
