MCP-1 is a potent activator of human basophils, including degranulation and the release of histamines. rHu MCP-1 signals through G protein-coupled receptors, CCR2 and CCR4, to recruit memory T cells, monocytes and dendritic cells. rHu MCP-1 produced in E. coli is a non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain that contains 76 amino acids and has a molecular mass of 8.61 kDa. |
