Telotristat is the active metabolite of LX1606 (Telotristat etiprate), which is an orally bioavailable, small-molecule, tryptophan hydroxylase (TPH) inhibitor with potential antiserotonergic activity.

Telotristat has been reported to inhibit the TPH enzyme. This inhibition can reduce serotonin production in the periphery.

Soluble in DMSO (10 mM). Only sparingly soluble in water (<1.5 µg/ml).

Store as supplied at or below -20°C for up to 2 years. Stable in anhydrous DMSO at -80°C for up to 6 months.
