Oxamflatin is a potent inhibitor of histone deacetylases. It has the ability to alter expression of genes involved in cell morphology, motility, apoptosis and cell cycle control, reducing the proliferation of cancer cells.

Oxamflatin inhibits histone deacetylases with IC50 = 15.7 nM.

Solubility in ethanol, DMSO and DMF is 0.5 mg/ml, 5 mg/ml, and 10 mg/ml respectively. Sparingly soluble in aqueous buffers.

White to off-white crystalline solid

Store at or below –20°C. Solid form is stable at least 12 months from date of receipt, when stored as directed. Do not store aqueous solutions for more than one day.
