Determination of the titer
To determine the titer, an ELISA was performed using a serial dilution of the antibody directed against Jarid1c (Cat. # 25294). The plates were coated with the peptides used for immunization of the rabbit. By plotting the absorbance against the antibody dilution (Figure 1), the titer of the antibody was estimated to be 1:7,000.

Western blot analysis using the antibody directed against Jarid1c
Nuclear extracts of HeLa cells (40 µg) were analyzed by Western blot using the antibody against Jarid1c (Cat. # 25294, lane 2) and with the preimmune serum (lane 1) diluted 1:1,000 in TBS-Tween containing 5% skimmed milk. The position of the protein of interest is indicated on the right (expected size: 175 kDa); the marker (in kDa) is shown on the left. Figure 2 shows that the additional bands at approximately 55 and 80 kDa are also present in the preimmune serum. 

Store at –80°C for up to 2 years. Centrifuge after first thaw to maximize product recovery. Aliquot to avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Aliquots may be stored at –20°C for at least one month.
