The reaction mixture contained 50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 12.5 mM MgCl₂, 0.1 mM nicotinamide, 0.4 mM PRPP, 2 mM ATP, 30 µg/ml of alcohol dehydrogenase, 10 µg/ml of NMNAT (BPS, #71090), 1.5% alcohol, 1 mM DTT, 0.02% BSA, and various amount of NAMPT in a final volume of 50 µl. Reactions were initiated with the addition of NAMPT, and the increase in NADH fluorescence (Ex 340 nm/Em 460 nm) was continuously monitored for 30 min at room temperature.

40 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 110 mM NaCl, 2.2 mM KCl, 10 mM glutathione, 0.04% Tween-20, 20% glycerol.
