Human core histones (two copies each of H2A, H2B, H3, and H4), purified from cultured HeLa cells. Histones are separated from DNA under high salt conditions.

An aqueous solution

50 mM sodium phosphate buffer, pH 6.8 and 2.5 M NaCl

Sufficient for 50 reactions in a 96-well format

>6 months at –80°C.

Ideal as a substrate for methylation or acetylation assays or for screening small molecule inhibitors of epigenetic enzymes in drug discovery and HTS applications.
