Milrinone, also known as WIN 47203 and Primacor^®, is an inhibitor of PDE3. It is less effective against other PDE isoforms. Milrinone has positive inotropic and vasodilatory effects in vivo.

Milrinone inhibits PDE3A and PDE3B with IC50 values of 0.45 µM and 1.0 µM, respectively.

Soluble in DMSO and DMF, purged with an inert gas. Solubility in DMSO and DMF is ~0.3 mg/ml.

A crystalline solid.

Store at or below –20°C. Solid form is stable at least 12 months from date of receipt, when stored as directed. Do not store aqueous solutions for more than one day.
