15 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.4, 100 mM NaCl, 3 mM p-Nitrophenyl acetate (PNPA) and 0-2 μg CA1. Incubate for 30 minutes at room temperature. Absorbance is measured at 405 nm.

40 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 110 mM NaCl, 2.2 mM KCl, 0.04% Tween-20, 185 mM imidazole and 20% glycerol
