U0126 is a selective inhibitor of mitogen-activated protein kinase kinases, MEK-1 and MEK-2. It is a weak inhibitor of PKC, Raf, ERK, JNK, MEKK, MKK-3, MKK-4/SEK, MKK-6, Abl, Cdk2 and Cdk4.

U0126 antagonizes AP-1 transcriptional activity via noncompetitive inhibition of the dual specificity kinase MEK with IC50 of 0.07 µM for MEK1 and 0.06 µM for MEK2.

Soluble in DMSO at 200 mg/ml. It is poorly soluble in ethanol and water.

White to off-white crystalline solid; granular or powder.

Store at or below –20°C. Solid form is stable at least 12 months from date of receipt, when stored as directed. Do not store aqueous solutions for more than one day.
